CLIMATE AND OCEANS

Viviane Doussy

Over the years I have felt a growing concern for the climate and ecological emergency as well as the global humanitarian crisis, and I got immersed in the climate agenda since 2018, engaging with a group of environmentalists in West Sussex.

Born in South Africa to Belgian parents, I have lived in England for over 30 years. This personal journey links me to universal scientific truths. The primacy of nature is my bedrock. Important for me is joining up the natural environment and its profound influence on our physical and mental wellbeing. I retired as a Research Pharmacist in 2016 and my focus has always been on health and wellness. My work involved scientific research and documentation, networking internationally to bring facts, ideas and people together. These skills will be useful as a UNA Representative where I aim to build partnerships and spread the word of hope.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals are elegantly designed around our fundamental human beliefs. It is an honour to be associated with the UN Association Climate & Oceans.
